OTC Asia 2018 - Message from Programme Chairman and Vice Chairmen

Message from Programme Chairman and Vice Chairmen

Dear Colleagues,

It gives us great pleasure to share with you that the Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia) will be held for the third time from 20 – 23 March 2018 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Since its inception in 2014, OTC Asia has attracted more than 45,000 industry professionals from over 80 countries who leveraged this conference as an opportunity to network, exchange ideas and share lessons learnt. Following the success of OTC Asia 2016, which drew over 20,000 attendees despite the challenging industry climate, we envision the ensuing OTC Asia 2018 will solidify its status as the region’s premier international offshore energy event.

Continuing the theme of “Excellence in Asia”, OTC Asia 2018 will be an elevated platform to showcase Asia as a centre of excellence in providing innovative technology and cost-efficient solutions to the energy industry. While the offshore energy industry continues to ride out the hardships of low oil price, the challenging market condition offers great opportunities for the industry to reshape and redefine itself – demanding past practices and norms to be fully evaluated whilst seeking fit-for-purpose, affordable and innovative solutions.

Asia as a region – given its large geographical footprint, sparse distribution of infrastructure and isolated pockets of petroleum resources – has built itself a strong legacy of delivering highly creative and cost competitive solutions. We firmly believe that Asia, now more than ever, plays an important role in leading the global industry into a more resilient business landscape.

On behalf of the OTC Asia 2018 Programme Committee, we invite you to submit a paper proposal highlighting excellence and innovation in your technical and technology advancements, and new efficient processes and solutions in offshore energy resources that will help the industry stay competitive and achieve long-term sustainability.

Please submit your paper proposals online at 2018.otcasia.org by 9 June 2017 for an opportunity to share your achievements with a global audience of energy experts and practitioners.

We look forward to your participation.
